Commercial Airline Stretcher

For stretcher-bound patients who are medically stable, our commercial airline stretcher service is an ideal choice. This service may also be referred to as an international airline stretcher for cross-border travel.

The patient travels on a stretcher installed in the passenger cabin, separated from other passengers by a screen to ensure privacy. This means some rows of seats on a commercial airline will be replaced with an approved stretcher. We arrange for qualified medical personnel to accompany the patient for peace of mind and quick intervention using their carry-on medical equipment. The patient is transferred to the airplane by ambulance and will board and disembark the plane on a stretcher.

We will take care of all the arrangements required for this type of transport. This option can be more cost-effective; however, it requires advanced coordination with the airline, and it may not be available as an immediate transport. This service is limited to international travel through available airline hubs

Specialized Medical Crew

The specialized flight-trained medical crew will include a combination of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics based on the patient’s condition.

However, the price of this service is usually 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a private air ambulance aircraft. The longer the distance, the more “cost-effective” it becomes. With a stretcher on commercial airline service, the patient receives compassionate, high-quality medical care without high costs.
